Athlete of the Week: 10 Questions with Yusuf Shaaban, GBN boys soccer

Shaaban is a member of the Glenbrook North boys soccer team.

When and why did you start playing soccer?

I’ve been playing since I was in kindergarten and I started because my parents put me in it. I come from an Egyptian family, and whenever I go to Egypt, we play soccer because it’s what they know. Ever since I touched a soccer ball, I fell in love.
